The Series 400 Rotherm Rotary Joint is designed for applications requiring one or two passages that transfer steam or hot oil into or out of a rotating machine. Typical applications are for dryers, calendars, or drums.

There are two moving parts, the rotor and seal. The self-centering hemispherical seal takes advantage of carbon’s great compressive strength.

The rotor turns within a carbon bearing. Spring pressure maintains positive sealing pressure at all times. The joint automatically compensates for fluid pressure.

The body is nickel plated steel and the rotor is stainless steel.
