Talco has been manufacturing rotary unions since 1962 and has been a supplier to wafer processing tool manufacturers since the mid 1980's. Over this period we have developed a wide array of unions for the passage of such problem media as DI water, strong acids, bases and abrasive slurries, as well as less aggressive media such as air, vacuum and cooling water. We offer both standard products and custom designs fabricated from industry recognized non-contaminating materials as well as strict product confidentiality. Whether you require a union for a new application or are striving to make an existing product more dependable, we are eager to serve you. /Asset/a1089.jpg
All models of Single Passage Rotary Unions are available with Right- or Left-Hand Thread on the Rotor. There are also various housing options available. All of our Single-Passage Rotary Unions can be constructed from Stainless Steel upon request for outstanding corrosion resistance. All Single-Passage Rotary Union models are CAD and RFQ Interface Enabled.
For your convenience, Talco, LLC offers two series of Single-Passage Rotary Unions, the 2200 Series and the 2300 Series. Within the two series we offer a range of sizes for Rotor Threads and Housing Threads in both American and Metric Units. If the size you are looking for is not listed, Talco, LLC will customize the Single-Passage Rotary Union to your specifications. /Asset/a1125.jpg
These multi-passage coaxial rotary unions consist of our 8000 series and the 9300 series rotary unions.
Rotary unions, sometimes also called rotary valves or rotary manifolds, are used in a wide range of manufacturing and other processes to permit the flow of heat transfer media, such as steam, water, thermal and hydraulic oil, or coolant, from a stationary supply pipe to a moving part such as a rotating drum or cylinder. The liquid or gas medium is contained within the rotary union or joint with the use of a mechanical seal and seal ring. Talco manufactures rotary unions in stainless steel, aluminum and carbon steel.
Both our 8000 series and our 9300 series multi-passage coaxial rotary unions can feature an NPT or BSP thread, and a steel rotor and aluminum housing (and can be constructed entirely in stainless steel, if desired, for especially tough environments). They come with both American and Metric specifications. Applications of these rotary unions include the transfer of a variety of process fluids such as industrial chemicals, high temperature oils, water, coolant and others.
We at Talco are also happy to do custom work. Just give us the specifications for the special custom rotary joint or coolant union your application requires. We specialize in adapting our products to fit your machines, temperature ranges and pressure requirements. Contact our engineering department with your needs. /Asset/a1095.jpg
The Rotary Joint is designed to fit tightly on an existing shaft, locked into place with three set screws and sealed to the shaft with O-Rings.
The rotor, made of stainless steel, rotates with the customer's shaft. Sealing between the rotor and the body, made of carbon steel or aluminum, is accomplished with O-Rings or Lip Seals, depending on the application.
Bearings are made of bronze bearing material. /Asset/a1066.jpg
Multi Passage Flange Mounted Unions
Flange Mounted Unions, also known as Multi-Passage Flange Mounted Rotary Joints. These multi-passage, flange-mounted unions are designed for extremely high hydraulic pressures while running at moderate RPM’s. We offer you a design that incorporates two Deep Groove ball bearings and our unique "O" ring slipper seal design that provides you with a product that has a longer life, lower torque and better performance than standard O-ring loaded slipper seals. We offer an array of sizes and number of passages within our 6900, 7100 and 7300 Series of Flange-Mounted Unions. All of the models within the series will provide an even loading of the entire seal interface area, tremendously high extrusion resistance, hardened and ground shaft, and an ultra-hard, low friction surface. Single Passage Rotary Unions
Single-Passage Rotary Unions, also known as Rotary Joints, can be used for various applications within all types of industries. The Single-Passage Rotary Unions can be used to move oil, air, water, steam, industrial gases, hydraulic fluids, Vacuum, as well as other mediums. The transfer of the medium in the Single-Passage Rotary Union is in one direction through the joint. An outstanding feature is that media can be moved at high speeds and at high pressures. All models of Single Passage Rotary Unions are available with Right- or Left-Hand Thread on the Rotor. There are also various housing options available. All of our Single-Passage Rotary Unions can be constructed from Stainless Steel upon request for outstanding corrosion resistance. Series 600 Rotary Joint - Around The Shaft
The Series 600 Rotherm Rotary Joint is designed for applications requiring one or two passages that transfer fluid into or out of a rotating shaft. Typical applications are for introducing fluids when the end of the shaft is not available for more traditional rotary joints.
